Take-Off Specialist/Sales Support

U.S. Canvas & Awning, a premier Houston-based awning company has an opening for a Take-Off Specialist with talent, initiative, and drive to join their team and have a development role in their growing organization. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to assist our company teams and clients through each step of the sales process in a high-velocity environment. This includes assisting the estimating and sales team to provide take-off support for ongoing projects. Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in creating project plans, requirements, specifications, and designs.

Maintain client accounts and update accurate knowledge of clients' accounts and history.

Review quotes, estimates, and drawings with the project team using the ability to conceptualize the project and its requirements.

Create spreadsheets that aid calculations and production while giving comparisons on project methods.

Visualize conceptually and understand the intent of the drawings and project plans.

Coordinate project documentation & logistics from design through fabrication and project installation

Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships

Support the activities of the sales management and estimators in the office using PDF plans, 2D CAD files, and 3D models

Coordinate with other team members to execute the takeoff promptly.

Answer incoming phone calls and communicate directly with new clients/leads inquiries via phone, email, etc.

Support all business aspects of the company including other duties as related and directed
Key Requirements / Competencies
-
3 years of non-retail sales assistance with some knowledge of the manufacturing or construction industry preferred.

Advanced computer skills with data reports and design software. Proficiency in Excel and CAD software with the ability to sketch and read hand drawings.

Ability to conceptualize and design products based on their use and application.

Experience with take-off software such as Bluebeam is preferred.

Ability to review manufacturing drawings and project specifications.

Engineering math skills, with the ability to measure, calculate, and convert material volumes.

Strong presentation, time management, and polished organizational skills.

Good leadership and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Excellent communication (oral/written), sales, and customer service skills.

The ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.

Position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but not limited to this schedule.
